Didn't win him...
Let's get down to business
To defeat the Huns.
Did they send me daughters
When I asked for sons?
You're the saddest bunch I ever met
But you can bet before we're through
Mister, I'll make a man
Out of you.
Tranquil as a forest
But on fire within.
Once you find your center
You are sure to win.
You're a spineless, pale pathetic lot
And you haven't got a clue.
Somehow I'll make a man
Out of you.
My bid for one of the gorgeous Australian Warmbloods!
I sooo love this picture, I sat very very long at that pose and yeah
Story: Karoliina sat at her working desk in her bedroom at TFS. It was dark outside and she could see the lights in the barn and around the stable area burning. She was surfing in the internet when she opened a tab and searched for horses. She wasn't interested to buy a new one, she had many to ride already, but she wanted to see what horses are up for sale. She scrolled, bored, down the page. So many awesome horses were for sale, there were many many warmbloods, so many characters and colours, she was amazed by the horses.
Karo's parents would soon move to TFS, they wanted to join their daughter and son again, and help them with the horses. So Karo wanted to show them how good she had token care of the stable.
When she wasn't very attentive she scrolled down the page and stopped immediatelly. There was a picture. On the picture there was a big and proud stallion. A seal bay stallion. Karo's heart melted when she looked at the beautiful animal. She clicked the picture and a new tab showed the informations. She read the information carefully and thought about this wonderful horse. It was written that he wasn't beautifully conformed, but for her he was perfect.
An hour later her twinbrother knocked at the door and came in. "What are you doing?", she asked. Karo slowly looked at him and began to smile. "Please book me the first flight to Australia." "Australia?!", Henrik shouted in surprise. But Karo just nodded and walked to her cupboard and started to search for clothes.
When Karo finally arrived at KhanCohbanFarm she was tired. The stable was so big and the evening was rather cold. The next day the auction would start, so Karo went to a Holiday Inn where she stayed the night.
The next day she watched all the nice horses at the auction. They all were sooo beautiful, but she only had eyes for the horse she came for. He was standing proud and seemed a little bit hard to handle. When the auctions came to the end Karo was allowed to ride the stallion. First all went well, his movement was amazing, big and zestfully steps in canter.
But as soon as she let the reins a little bit longer he stopped immediatelly and started trying to get her off. Karo was surprised, but she knew this from her horse Primus very well. Now she knew why some other people refused to try him.
When she jumped from his back she patted the shoulder of the horse. "We could make a gentleman out of you, don't you think?"
Name: TFS Starbucks
Barn name: Gus
Breed: Australian Warmblood
Breed Grading: Quality
Age: 5 years
Phenotype: Seal Bay
Genetics: EE AtAt
Appearance: Brown with a skewed star, half stripe and snip with one sock.
Build: Medium. Gus is a very nice looking horse to look at. He is not beautifully conformed, nor does he have any major faults. He has a nice clean and expressive head, a well-muscled neck on powerful sloping shoulders, decent girth and chest with a nice powerful hind end and nice legs with good bone.
About this horse: Gus was raised and started by a well-meaning family that had no idea how to properly start a strong willed young stallion. He has been allowed to get away with a lot of bad habits and has become very strong willed and stubborn. Under saddle he is very forceful and likes to make the choices, and he won’t back down from a fight if he decides he doesn’t want to do something. He can also leap before he thinks and often manages to injure himself both during work and when loose in the paddock. He will require some work to get him thinking and develop his awareness of his limits and abilities. On the ground he is very pushy and doesn’t respect personal space. He doesn’t like having his feet picked up, and the Farrier and the Vet both normally lead to hissy fits and lots of kicking. We have worked with him and so far he has managed to understand the idea of ground tying and we can get him to stand nicely for mounting and dismounting but he will require more work to get him to respect space and stand for treatment. He loves anything salty and is often found near the salt lick, or stealing chips from people, so f you want to treat him remember to keep some water handy for after. Once he gets his basics properly sorted he looks like he would become a very nice Cross Country or Show jumping horse. Once his judgment and awareness improves as he matures his natural courage and strength will hold him in good stead in the competition ring.
